Blog 56 block design & features
Blog56 is a short three-column contents list built with shadcn/ui. The header puts the heading on the left and an "All posts" text link with an arrow on the right. Below it, a hairline rule opens the list and divides the four rows, with the last row left open. Each row lines up an uppercase category in a fixed-width left column, the linked title in the middle, and the date right-aligned at the end.
Visually it is all type and rules. Categories are small, muted, and tracked uppercase, titles are semibold at a comfortable reading size, and dates are muted with fixed-width figures. Because every category column is the same width, the titles share a common left edge down the list. There are no images, surfaces, or shadows. The title underlines on hover, and the header link brightens from muted gray to full foreground along with its arrow. Nothing animates on entry.
Category leads the scan here, which is the reverse of the date-led index in the same family. Capped at four posts and paired with a link out, it reads as a latest-posts strip rather than an archive. The style is minimal and editorial, and the block is very simple. Each post needs a category, title, date, and URL.
On small screens the category, title, and date stack vertically within each row, and the header link moves below the heading. From the small breakpoint up the three columns share one line.
