Blog 62 block design & features

Blog62 is a two-column single-story feature built with Shadcn UI Badge and Button. On large screens a 4:3 cover fills the left column, with a category badge resting in its bottom-left corner on a frosted, semi-opaque chip. The right column is vertically centered and stacks the article title as the section headline, a larger muted standfirst, a smaller body paragraph, a byline row, and a primary button with a trailing arrow.

Typography does most of the work here: the headline is set at section scale in semibold, with the standfirst a step lighter in muted color and the body paragraph smaller again. A hairline rule separates the copy from the byline, which pairs a small round avatar with a medium-weight author name over a muted role, followed by a clock icon with a fainter read time and a muted date. The surface is flat with no card shell. The cover dims slightly on hover and the headline underlines on hover.

Restrained and magazine-like, this reads as a story opener rather than a listing. It is a common split pattern made more editorial by the frosted badge over the photo and the three-tier text column. Complexity is low: one post with a cover image, two paragraphs of copy, and an author photo, name, and role.

Below the large breakpoint the columns stack with the text first and the image underneath, so the headline leads on mobile.
