Blog 67 block design & features
Blog67 is a featured-plus-grid blog section built with shadcn/ui that opens straight into content, with no section heading. A full-width horizontal card leads, with a narrow cover image running the full height of its left edge and a text panel holding a large title, an excerpt, and a byline row: small avatar, author name, read time, and a read link pushed to the far right. Below it, four text-only cards sit in a row, each with a title, a two-line excerpt, and a footer that pairs an avatar and author name with an up-right arrow.
Every surface is a bordered, rounded card on the default background, with the featured card's image bleeding edge to edge inside its frame. The supporting cards are compact and dense, using small type and a hairline above the author footer to anchor it at the bottom. The byline shows a medium-weight author name beside a fainter read time. Hovers stay local: the cover dims, titles underline, and the small arrow darkens from muted to full color. The section is static on load.
Contrast between one photo-led card and a row of text-only tiles gives this a newsroom or changelog feel, less image-heavy than most featured layouts. Complexity is moderate and content-driven: five posts, each with an author name and avatar, but only the featured post needs a cover image. The featured slot goes to the post flagged as featured, or the first post if none is.
On mobile the featured image moves above the text in a 16:9 frame. The supporting row drops to two columns at small widths and one column on phones.
